ASCENDIS is an independent office, founded in 2004 by Ir. Jan van den Akker, an energy expert, providing consultancy on sustainable energy and climate change, specializing in development and developing countries. ASCENDIS is based in Westerhoven, Netherlands, but offers services in Latin America & the Caribbean, Africa, Europe and Asia, often by associating itself with local free-lance experts, professionals and organizations.
